About Us
We are members of the American Gourd Society, the Florida Gourd Society, and the National Wood Carvers
Association
.  We have been Levy County residents for nearly 30 years, in the same location.

Before becoming a gourd growe
r,  Barbara's 'interests were in painting, woodburning, chip carving, and
embellishing gourds with a variety of products and methods, which led her to taking art classes at CFCC in
Ocala, FL.   After three semesters of art, she discovered the
excellent  Equine Studies Program at CFCC, and
became a full-time "late-in-life" college student; now  working on a third equine degree. Having a love of horses
since a child, this has been a wonderful experience, in the heart of horse country. I will be finished in May 2010.

Barbara and her husband, Perry, have been married for over 33 years, and have two daughters. Our first
grandaughter was born in Oct. 08. How sweet it is,  being a grandparent!

As you can imagine, life is very busy here, but the farm is always open, at  your convenience!
Just call me at 352 493-1534, or stop by.

We also enjoy riding motorcycles and are members of the Christian Motorcycle Association.
When it comes to fishing, it's hard to get Barbara to "reel it in" at the end of the day!  Although there is "no time"
these days for that kind of fun.  And, you'll be hard pressed to find anyone who loves her 1988 V W  Vanagon
more than she does, even if it is in the repair shop from time to time!
